Why Expat Mamasita?
I have been writing online now since around 2008, when I gave up working full time to become an expat wife. Originally I toyed with the name Bunga Raya when we lived in Malaysia, a name that still shows on my url on Pinterest and eBay account. When we relocated to Central America and I decided to sign up to Squidoo I chose the name Casa Cicak, a fusion of Latino and Malaysian influences, and I used this name on my other online writings too.
In 2014 Squidoo ceased to be, and I had to think of a new name for the Hubpages account that was to be the new home to my Squidoo musings. I could not stick with Casa Cicak as I already had an unused Hubpages account in that name, so I decided on a whole new identity and Expat Mamasita was born.
Originally the plan was to keep Expat Mamasita as my Hubpages/Blogger name and keep Casa Cicak for my existing toy review and jewellery sites but as 2015 approached and I reviewed the past year I decided to simplify my online presence by having all my writing (except for a soon to be slimlined Hubpage presence) in one place, with one name.

Who is Expat Mamasita
I am a British forty something wife and mother who just happens to be living on the other side of the world to her birthplace. Wife to the ever patient Papicito and mama to the mini whirling dervish otherwise known as Chiquitito, I try hard to juggle my life to make sure that I have a little me time. This was made much easier when Chiquitito started school, and is always helped by our wonderful maid, but there are still never enough hours in the day.
What Does Expat Mamasita Love?
As an expat wife and mother my main loves are everything child, expat and travel related - espescially when it is related to my beloved England, or wherever I happen to be living or visiting at the moment. I also love photography, crafting, cooking (or more specifically baking), jewellery and fashion.
